TF ECU Location

No sign of the ECU directly under the radio where both the manuals I have say it should be so where is it?

It is on the tunnel under the centre console pretty much against the fire wall (under the heat box)

I found easy access from the passenger footwell. well thats where i wired in a piggy back ECU into from.

Thanks for your quick replies Mal and Lowrider. I assume the heat box is the large plastic structure behind the radio. Still can't see anything. I'll try and get a photo of what I see when it's not raining. Is it under a plastic cover or anything like that? I'm looking for a silver module.

Does the position differ on different models?

The position is the same on all 3rd gens.
Pull back the passenger side carpet from the frontmost inner section of the footwell where one's right foot would go, which will reveal a metal plate located on the lower RHS of the footwell, on the side of the tunnel, under the console trim. Unscrew it, behind it you will find the ECU staring at you, possibly sheathed in a plastic sheet.
